What is Flexible Benefits?

The traditional benefits format involves employers giving standard benefits to their employees. This is tantamount to ALL employees receiving, let’s say, 15 vacation leaves, 15 sick leaves, medical insurance, and group life insurance. Problems with this set-up? Among others: it might not be responsive to what the employee needs, there is a considerable cost factor when adding new benefits, and usually, the benefits included in the standard line-up do not really add much value in terms of exciting or motivating employees.
